We at the CPRA are proud to introduce our new entry system, Midwest Rodeo Entries. While there might be a little bit of a learning curve, Jack and his team are more than prepared for the task. We’ve posted a set of videos on Facebook and our website that we hope will make this transition smooth, but please, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Branden Edwards (970) 216-1818, or Midwest Rodeo Entries, (605) 374-7754.
A few Key differences you might need to look out for:
Non-Members must receive a non-member id number from our state office before being able to enter via phone or the internet. They will need to be guaranteed under a member’s card, or supply the state office with a valid credit card as a recourse for non-payment before being allowed to enter.
When entering through the website, each contestant’s preferences must be given individually, and must match exactly with the other contestants in the same buddy group, or the buddy group will not be recognized.
If you do not know your own or someone that you’re entering’s card number, you will not be allowed to enter.
When entering by phone, the system will seem very familiar, preferences will be given in much the same manner as previous systems, but here’s a few places you’ll want to familiarize yourself with on the Midwest Rodeo Entries website:
Live stats: This button is at the bottom of nearly every page when you scroll down, and will be the fastest way for you to check how many contestants are asking for which preferences, this is updated constantly as people enter.
Check Backs: What we have previously called “Call Backs” this is where you can determine what your draw is.
Check Back Number: As you enter yourself or others, this number will show up early in the process, usually in the upper left quarter of your screen. Write this number down immediately. If you ever experience any problems online, having that number will drastically improve the speed in which the phone operators can get to your entries, in order to help you put in the information you need to.
Card Lookup: This Button shows up directly to the right of the space where you will need to enter a contestant’s card number to continue the process, giving you the ability to “look up” someone’s card number, as long as you have their name, and their hometown.
Schedule: This will show the complete schedule of all rodeos that Midwest Rodeo Entries serve, so please make sure you are selecting the correct rodeo for your association.
Again, please don’t feel like you have to understand all of this instantly, and if you have any questions, Branden or any Midwest operators are able and willing help you with the process.
Thank you all for your support and patience through this transition, and thank you for being a part of our association.
