PREMISES CONTROL MEASURES

• Minimize common water and feed source use during the event.
• Arrive at premise with a “clean trailer” (as could be expected).
• Insect control and abatement are very important in controlling the spread of VS. Fly wipes and sprays for use on animals should be applied as directed.
• Regular observation of all susceptible livestock for clinical signs of VS by event staff during the event.

For more information on Vesicular Stomatitis please visit the Colorado Department of Agriculture Website at www.colorado.gov/ag/animals or Call 303-869-9130. This precaution has been initiated due to the outbreak of Vesicular Stomatitis in our neighboring counties. We Thank You for your patience and understanding during this year’s Ouray County Fair & Rodeos. As of August 24, 2015
